Kirsten Hill, Naturopath
Kirsten has a health background as a registered nurse and has worked primarily in the critical care setting. She has also worked in environmental conservation which included educating the community about sustainable living practices and the native environment. Kirsten feels that together with her health and environmental experience, she has come full circle when combining them as a practising naturopath.
Kirsten focuses in managing chronic fatigue and post viral syndrome as after experiencing it herself understands the debilitating effects it can have on your life both professionally and personally, as well as your sense of identity.
“I understand how it feels to be like a stranger in your own body and not being able to trust what it is going to do next”. “It wasn’t until I met with a Naturopath did I understand the full complexities of the syndrome and with diet and lifestyle changes supported by herbal/nutritional supplements, and remedial massage, I was able to re-enter life”.
Her other focuses include autoimmune disease ranging from Lupus and rheumatoid arthritis to thyroid disorders, and diabetes. Her aim is to support conventional treatment as well as decrease the triggers which may further aggravate the disease process.
Kirsten feels that every client has their own story and is not pigeon- holed by their illness. She is able to support them in improving their quality of life through an individualised treatment plan which will provide them with numerous tools to cope with acute episodes and day to day life.
